Hi! We're Valeria and Dennis Beard,
the owners of Almost Heaven Stables.
 |
When we opened our stable
to the public in October of 1991 we had just 3 horses and 2 acres of
land. Now we have 55 acres of land, 12 horses of our own, a pig, and
7
dogs.
Our reason for opening
the stable was to give kids and their families a nice clean place where
they could come to enjoy learning about horses in a clean atmosphere and
where there is never any smoking, drinking or cussing. |

Valeria

| Dennis and Valeria have
been married since 1979. Together they have 2 daughters, a son-in-law
and 3 grandchildren. |
|
|
| |
|
|
|
Dennis has been a
mechanic at Pendarvis Chevrolet since 1973. He takes care of all
the feeding of the horses and all the building and maintenance.
Valeria has worked
several jobs including waitressing, being a Tupperware manager and an
assistant manager at a Hess gas station. She stayed with the last job
during the first year of opening the stable to have enough finances until
business picked up. Valeria does all the training of horses, teaching of
students and general running of the stable. |
